About myself: I like the thrill and find myself constantly having to adapt to my environment, which makes it hard to describe myself. I am both Cuban and Greek so exploring culture is something that I have always loved. Having lived in a country were having access to technology is a privilege I was always drawn to it.

About PROUD program: PROUD program for me represents the opportunity to learn the social and academic skills that will be needed in the future. To experience what it is like to take part in a professional environment is an invaluable lesson that cannot be taught in a classroom. It provides the chance to explore our weaknesses and strengths that will let us know where it is that we belong.

Kledis Koltraka

Bachelor Study: Mechatronics Engineering

Semester: 4

My strong technical points are in software and electrical engineering. In my previous projects besides software and electrical design I also found experiences such as leadership and entrepreneurship interesting and learned to adapt to new challenges. I am an analytical person, but my way of tackling a problem is by first understanding the whole picture. That’s one of the reasons why I chose the mechatronics department as it studies how sub-systems interact as one.

In the future I see myself working in a company that specializes in automation and control systems. The reason is that those are my strongest aspects and I believe that they will be key factors for modern industry 4.0 that Eindhoven is looking forward to.

Bachelor course: Electrical and Electronic Engineering
Semester: 3

I am a second year Electrical & Electronic Engineering student from India. Having received my propaedeutic certificate within a year, I am confident the effort I put into the first year paid off. I am hardworking and can perform well under pressure. Also, due to my curious nature, I am eager to learn.

Coming from an educational system that focuses mainly on theoretical knowledge, I do not have much practical experience. And now getting the chance to apply this knowledge in practical scenarios, is very intriguing to me. I want like to go more in depth towards the practical side of the study and working alongside my study lets me get a taste of the professional world.
